Slope Reinforcement and Stabilization

Due to our long experience, we are predestined to assist you consultatory and in execution within the scope of revegetation and slope reinforcement measures in road and waterway constructions, mining, landscaping and landfill construction. Provided that the appropriate procedure is applied, any slope, no matter how steep, can be stabilized, and any site, no matter how extreme can be covered with a suitable vegetation.

Quick-Acting Slope Reinforcement

An extremely effective and ecologically especially precious procedure to reinforce slopes is grassing with the hay-mulch method. Hay-mulch consists of meadow-plant material from native plants pressed to bales, the plants being harvested close to the construction site and from floristic interesting donor areas. The hay-mulch bales are chaffed by a special machine and blown on to the vegetation areas or applied by a hydroseeder.

As the entire plant including leaves and stem is brought to the area, immediate erosion control is achieved by the mulch coat, which - as side effect - also helps to activate soil life and the creation of organic matter. The microclimate in the soil is improved, seed germination is accelerated and the desiccation of the rootzone is reduced. Flying seeds from adjacent areas are caught in the mulch coat. In addition to this, no genetically uniform seed from cultivation is used, but preferably autochthonous plant material from regional, precious donor areas.
