A Survey on Our Services and Reclamation Measures
The
immediate protection of uncovered soil surfaces against erosion is what makes hydroseeding the
most important technique in grassing on steep slopes and raw soils endangered by erosion. This is why hydroseeding gains special importance in road construction (highways, railroad tracks, noise protection walls), hydraulic engineering, mining and quarries as well as when reclaiming landfills, training areas and ski slopes.
Revegetation with indigenous, autochthonous seed ("Heudrusch®"- and "Heumulch"- Method)
In addition to erosion control, these special procedures aim at
establishing ecologically precious phytocenoses with provenances of indigenous habitats. These functionally also remarkably effective revegetation procedures have become indispensable for securing and conserving the genetical diversity by transferring local species and phytocenoses as well as geographical races, species and subspecies. Precondition is a thorough selection of suitable donor areas, which are ecologically as precious as possible. By applying these procedures, recu-systems achieves a much bigger public acceptance especially in cases of controversial construction projects.
Conventional Seeding
Contrary to hydroseeding, the procedure of establishing vegetation with equipment applying normal or dry seeding is only used in areas showing good access for vehicles and on soils which can be cultivated easily. This procedure also requires thorough site analyses to be able to select the adequate seed mixture. Fields of application are e.g. training areas, airports, waterways, landfills, golf courses and parks.
Bioengineering
In waterway and road construction as well as in the mining of resources and fossil fuels, the demands for an ecologically sound
slope stabilization and erosion control are outstandingly high.
recu-systems disposes of essential competences, long experience and inevitable expert knowledge to provide effective and sustainable erosion control by using very special procedures. Performing bioengineering measures,
recu-systems exclusively uses living and natural components, which in erosion control are to be preferred to non-natural materials, not only from the ecological, but also from the functional point of view.
Seeding Techniques and Recipes
For reclamation and revegetation by seeding grass and herb species, recu-systems applies most varying procedures - depending on the respective requirements. Simultaneously to seeding, soils may be ameliorated with special means and stabilized against erosion, mulch layers may be applied and lacking nutrients may be added. In conjunction with soil conditioners, specific plants or phytocenoses (reposition plants) contribute to soil decontamination at abandoned hazardous sites.
Slope Revegetation
Due to our long experience, we are predestined to assist you
consultatory and in execution with reclamation and erosion control measures in the fields of road, waterway and landfill constructions as well as mining and landscaping. Provided a site-adapted performance is granted,
any slope and any site - no matter how steep or severe - will turn green with
recu-systems.
Erosion and Dust Control
The warranty of a lasting protection against erosion and dust clouds can be granted under specified conditions only. Those include: an analysis of the local conditions, in particular slope angle, slope length, soil properties, micro- and macroclimatic characteristics; the adaptation of measures to site conditions; the consideration of the hydrological situation; use of suitable plant species and additives; use of appropriate means for erosion and dust control.
